Eviden, the digital transformation subsidiary of Atos, announced on Monday the launch of a new platform designed to support companies in the development of sustainable products.
This cloud-based offering, dubbed ‘EcoDesignCloud’, aims to offer a reliable calculation of the environmental impact of designed products, at every stage of their lifecycle.
The solution is based on artificial intelligence algorithms and 16 Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) impact indicators, while taking into account the entire supply chain.
In the retail and FMCG sectors, the platform is designed to help product designers, distributors and suppliers optimize the environmental impact of their products, packaging and promotional activities.
In the industrial sector, it can be used to assess ‘scope 3’ emissions, i.e. those linked to all products used by customers.
